It pays off to spend a few minutes a day for spectacular effect, right? It’s for free so why don’t you give it a go? Remember to do each exercise carefully and without the rush. Face yoga: how to get better effects?
You can help your skin while exercising by applying a suitable serum or cream. You cause micro-cramps during the face workout so the products are absorbed better, giving stronger effect. Seek products rich in vitamin C, hyaluronic acid or retinol as they give brilliant results.
Face yoga for a beginner: set of exercises
1. SURPRISED FACE
Effect: frown lines are smoothed; eyelid skin is toned.
Open your eyes widely but make sure you don’t tighten other face muscles – keep them relaxed. In this case your surprised face doesn’t go together with raised brows or frowning. Only your eyes work here. Keep the eyes open and fix your gaze on some point for 5 to 10 seconds. Repeat 5 times.
2. LION
Effect: relaxed facial muscles.
Tighten the face muscles firmly. Clench your fists and lift your arms. Inhale deeply and keep it for 5 seconds. Exhale, stretching your tongue out and opening the palms. Repeat 5 times.
3. TRUMPET PLAYER
Effect: toned up cheek muscles.
Inhale through your nose. Move the air from one cheek to the other as if you rinsed your mouth. Do it until you lose your breath. Exhale through your mouth to tone the lip muscles. Repeat 5 times.
4. ACTRESS
Effect: toned up lip muscle.
Take a deep breath through your nose and exhale through the mouth making a duckface. Act like you send kisses on a red carpet. Remember to focus on the lips and keep the rest of the face still. Repeat it 5 times as well.
